GIANCARLO BELLONI

Giancarlo graduated at Polytechnic University of Milan in aerospace engineering, with structural specialization, with an experimental thesis about characterization of composite materials. Since 2001, during his carrier as industrial property consultant, he has collaborated with some of the most important Italian firms.

He had the opportunity to support several kinds of clients, in particular in the mechanical field, which range from private inventor to research institute, from SME to multinational company. The accumulated experience brought him to have a wide knowledge of the procedures related to the protection of industrial property, in particular through patents and design registrations. Giancarlo daily helps his clients in all the steps of the protection path, from the preliminary steps, through the grant procedure, up to the possible post-grant issues like oppositions or lawsuits about infringement and validity.

Giancarlo was admitted to the Italian Patent Attorney bar in 2005 and to the European Patent Attorney bar in 2008, thereby being today authorized to represent clients in patent and design matters before the Italian Patent and Trademarks Office (UIBM), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO).
