Dorotea has a solid scientific background, with a PhD in Pharmacotoxicological Sciences, Pharmacognostics and Pharmacological Biotechnology from the University of Milan, where she worked with Prof. Elena Cattaneo’s research group.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

After her PhD, Dorotea founded a university spin-off, one of the first at the University of Milan, where she led the research team and initiated international collaborations, both in Europe and the US. Her interest in science with an entrepreneurial perspective has led her to establish strong relationships with research groups, technology transfer offices and biotech start-ups, with whom she has established a relationship of mutual trust.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In her current role, she supports clients in the complete management of patent portfolios, from IP strategy definition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications. He also provides opinions on validity and patentability, and supports investors in due diligence activities. Prior to joining THINX, she gained significant experience at leading Italian firms, where she managed clients independently and participated in opposition proceedings at the European Patent Office.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In addition to her career in patenting, Dorotea has participated as a speaker at various conferences and contributed to innovation projects such as the \u2018Switch2Product Innovation Challenge\u2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

She is an Italian and European Patent and Design Attorney and is qualified to represent clients in patent and design matters before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Industrial Property Office (EUIPO), the International Industrial Property Office (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO).She is also qualified to represent clients before the Unitary Patent Court (UPC). She is fluent in English.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
